From the desk of Alison Gibson, Director
Once again, cards sent to a Ripley resident many years ago. The top card isn’t postmarked, but has a stamp on it that was produced between 1902-late 1908. Since it is a ‘split back’ card, probably 1908 or later. Bottom card is postmarked 1915.
We wish everyone a happy and healthy new year, and hope that you continue to find time to take advantage of the library’s services. Of course, our big push is books to encourage reading, a skill that keeps on giving throughout your lifetime! We also help with research, faxing, scanning, 3D printing (at the Aberdeen branch), finding that obscure book you’ve been hunting for, offering programs for both adults and children and so much more. If you haven’t been in lately, please make it a New Year’s resolution to stop in, and if you are a regular, thanks from all of us and see you soon.
The Ripley library will be opening at noon on Friday the 27th.
All branches will be closing at 4:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, and closed on New Year’s Day.
