LIBRARY TALK – NOVEMBER 28, 2019

Happy Thanksgiving!

A reminder that we are having our own holiday kick-off this coming Sunday, December 1st at 2:00 p.m. in the library annex with The Cincinnati Museum Center’s Holiday Memories featuring songs made very popular by Rosemary Clooney and Doris Day. So walk down memory lane with us (or hear some of these great holiday songs for the first time!). All are welcome to this free program.

While crazy holiday chaos descends, the day to day stuff still continues, and we add books and movies to our collection throughout the rest of the year. Even the ‘big’ authors don’t take a break with Danielle Steel releasing Spy, James Patterson releasing both an adult book with popular Dr. Alex Cross in Criss Cross, and starting a new juvenile series based on Dr. Cross’s son Ali solving cases in Ali Cross, both released this week.  We are adding an interesting book titled Little Ohio: A Nostalgic Look at the Buckeye Stat’s Smallest Towns by Karen Robertson. No, Ripley didn’t make it, as the population had to be under 500, but some towns close to us such as Moscow, Bentonville and Neville did, as well as the Highland County Gist Settlement. Fun book to browse, and learn about some of the towns that you drive through and had no clue on their history.

FYI, we will be closing at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday and closed on Thanksgiving day. Happy Holidays!
