LIBRARY TALK – MARCH 21, 2019

Happy Spring!  Renewal, rejuvenation, and just feeling good with the blue skies and warmer temperature.

Last reminder that Shaheen Miro will be here at the Ripley library this Saturday at 10:30 a.m. for a talk about mindful spring cleaning, improving your intuition, and answering questions about psychic happenings.

We thought we’d have some fun with our younger crowd and spring, so on Saturday, March 30th  from 10:00-11:00 a.m. for kids 3-6 years old, we are going to gussy up a straw hat with ribbons and flowers and ‘stuff’ to create a unique spring bonnet. Please call or stop in to register, we want to be sure we have enough hats!

Of course, for our fiction readers, there is a lot coming out this week and next. Iris Johansen continues her Eve Duncan novels with Dark Tribute, Jacqueline Winspear continues with her Maisie Dobbs tales in The American Agent (set in England during WWII), Karen Robards keeps readers in suspense with The Fifth Doctrine, James Patterson (yes, another new book only 2 weeks from the last!) follows an intelligence officer as she tries to save her family by locating and liberating an unnamed captive, and has very little time to do so in The Cornwalls Are Gone,

Catherine Coulter returns with her Brit in the FBI thrillers with The Last Second, and Christopher Reich revisits Simon Riske, described as part Bond, part Reacher, in the high stakes setting of Monte Carlo, in Crown Jewel.  So, if any of these authors are among your favorites, please put a reserve on the title, or call us and we would be happy to!
