LIBRARY TALK – NOVEMBER 29, 2018

Library Talk November 29, 2018

What? November almost over? Darn, it flew by again. Now with The Ripley River Village Christmas week-end earlier this year, I’m all confused!  I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Last time to announce our big annual Friends of the Library Book Sale taking place during Ripley River Village Christmas. Hours are Friday from 6-8 p.m. after the singing and tree lighting, and Saturday 10-4 p.m. Due to the festivities on Friday in the annex, we won’t have all of our tables set up, but we will have over 20 tables filled with books, but then…we will be setting up even more for Saturday once we have all of our space cleared.  The Banks of the Ohio will be playing music during the Friday evening sale, so we invite you to come purchase books and sit a spell—we will be serving hot chocolate and good cheer.  As we are sorting the books, we see some virtually brand new, others collectible, and many just good reads to add to your collection.  For those of you that enjoy western paperbacks, we did get several boxes of them in a donation—oldies but goodies!

Mollie Malone will be visiting the Ripley library from 12-3 p.m. on this Thursday November 29th to answer all your questions about the Maysville Community and Technical College—interested in what they have to offer to help you in your educational and career goals? Stop by and talk to Mollie and she’ll explain it all.
