Saturday, April 1st in the Ripley Library Annex a program will be held on the floods of the past. This is the 80th anniversary of the 1937 and the 20th of the 1997. This program is not limited to those years.

The Annex will open at noon and remain open until 5:00 p.m. to view memories of the different floods. Everyone is welcome during that time. There will be speaker presentations during the day. You do not have to attend a presentation to view the memories.

1:00 p.m., Julia Reed with the National Weather Service will host a presentation on the 1937, 1997 and other floods in this area.
2:30 p.m., Dr. Ned Lodwick, local Historian will talk about this area during the flood.
3:30 p.m., Greg Haitz, a local Historian will show his slide presentation of pictures of floods in this area.

If you have pictures or stories about any of the floods we would like to add them to this program. Your pictures will be scanned and handed back to you. All pictures will be credited to the person they belong to. Stories will be available for visitors to read. We have a very large display area in the Annex.
